Welcome to the Presidium

Sub Praesidium Dei – Under the Guardianship of God

What is a presidium?

Presidium comes from the Latin praesidium, meaning fortress, garrison, or protection. It is formed from prae- (“before, in front of”) and sedēre (“to sit, to be stationed”), originally describing a post assigned to guard or support a mission. We chose this name to reflect Christ’s seating at the right hand of the Throne as our intercessor with the Father and guardian against the Enemy.

Within a garrison, soldiers rely on one another while trusting the strength of the fortress that surrounds them. So it is with the Body of Christ: God is our fortress, and we are called to stand together under His protection. In the face of sin and corruption, we unite as one voice, support one another in love, and boldly proclaim the Gospel to the world.

Mission

Presidium exists to strengthen and unify the Body of Christ by establishing, equipping, and guiding ministries that proclaim the Gospel with clarity, compassion, and courage. We serve as a nexus for Christian outreach: protecting truth, discipling the next generation, and restoring communities under the guardianship of God.

Vision

We envision a Church that stands boldly in a fractured world: doctrinally sound, spiritually unified, and culturally engaged. Through local and digital ministry, we seek to reclaim the Church’s role as society’s moral foundation and bring the Gospel to places long abandoned. While Christ alone will establish His Kingdom, we labor now as those preparing the way.

Doctrinal Harmony

Presidium affirms the richness of biblical diversity within the global Body of Christ. While we are unified by the essential truths of salvation through Christ alone and the triune nature of God, we honor the distinct convictions of faithful denominations. Presbyterians are encouraged to continue their sacramental theology grounded in real presence; Methodists, their pursuit of entire sanctification; Baptists, their commitment to regenerate membership and believer’s baptism; Pentecostals, their emphasis on spiritual gifts rightly ordered; and all others who faithfully uphold the authority of Scripture. Our aim is not to erase denominational identity, but to strengthen it—so long as it is rooted in sound exegesis and the historic Christian faith. We call all traditions to deeper faithfulness, greater theological reflection, and joyful unity in Christ.
